Self Development

Are you the best YOU that you can be?

Do you have the life you want?

Are you happy with your life?

If you answered YES to all of the above – Congratulations!

If you answered NO to any of the questions read on:

What do you want?

This may seem an obvious question, but it is amazing how many people don’t take the time to ask it of themselves, or their lives, OR to get an answer!

If you don’t know what you want, unless you just happen to be exceptionally lucky; it is highly unlikely that you will get it.  You can increase the odds of achieving what you want by actually deciding on what you want in the first place.  You have probably already done this: maybe when selecting a place to live, buying a car or planning a holiday, so why not do the same for yourself and your life?  Surely it is more important than a holiday or a car.

Help in defining what you want can be invaluable – if you have never taken the time before and don’t know where to start, OR if you think you know what you want but are making no progress.  It may be that you are blocked somehow, or it could be that what you THINK you want isn’t what you really want at heart.  It may be that your goal is not in line with who you really are, in which case I would recommend that you find a new and appropriate goal that is!

Where are you now?

In order to get to where you want to be in life, you need to know where you are now – i.e. where you are starting from.  Similar to planning a holiday – you may have decided that you would like to go to Java, for example.  Your journey and the steps you take will depend on whether you are starting from Australia, America, Japan, the UK, or somewhere else.

Where you are now will determine how far you are from what you want, what direction you need to go in, and what steps you need to take – just as in life.

What else?

Once you know where you are starting from, and where you want to go, what else is needed?

Is something holding you back?

Many people know where they are and what they want, but somehow feel held back.  There can be many reasons for this, which will need to be resolved before someone is able to move forward.

Some people may not feel held back, but they may feel that there are many obstacles between them and achieving their goal or desired outcome.  These obstacles may be real or perceived.  In either case, they need to be eliminated or overcome to reach the required destination.

Many people have limiting beliefs which can either hold them back from even trying to achieve something, or mean that they have obstacles to getting their goal.

“I am not good enough”;

“I do not deserve…..”

“I can never….”

“Only rich people…”

For some people there is fear of success.  For others, there is fear of failure.

How to get there

I can help you identify what you want, help you specify it – in a way that it already seems real and achievable, and help you resolve any blocks to making it happen.  There are tools and techniques, which just like most things in life, make it ‘Easy when you know how’; so if you’ve been struggling with something, let me help you move forward quickly and easily.
